Post-Consumer-Recycling

In post-consumer recycling, products are reprocessed at the end of their service life so that they can be reused. Complex separation, shredding, sorting, washing and drying steps are necessary here. During separation, foreign bodies such as metals, organic materials, stones, etc. are removed.

During sorting, the different types of plastic waste are turned into pure material streams that can be further processed.

The washing process removes initial contamination. The drying step removes moisture and thus increases quality and throughput.

Once this has been done, a twin-screw extruder can show its strengths in the subsequent compounding process. 

The twin-screw extruder enables a high degassing capacity to reduce VOCs (Volatile Organic Compound) as well as the processing of different raw materials for a wide range of applications.

Adding and mixing in additives, colorants, fillers and reinforcing materials is extremely easy.
